CHBCF 2023 Fundraiser
In celebration of 26 years since the founding of the Chapel Hill
Breast Cancer Foundation, Tee it up for a cure, returned to
Croasdaile Country Club in Durham on Monday, September 25th .
Over 100 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf followed by an
awards reception featuring, a guest speaker and auctions.
On the same day, Mid South Club in Southern Pines held the “Mid
South Goes Pink” fundraiser. With a full field of women golfers,
tremendous support from the Mid South community and a
beautiful September day, they raised $29,000 in their third
year of holding this event in support of the Chapel Hill Breast
Due to the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers and
participants, 100% of the money raised by these two events
supports the Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation and its mission
to fund breast cancer research at our local universities.
In 2023, the CHBCF raised over $95,400 that was distributed directly and equally to the breast cancer research centers at Duke University, University of North Carolina and Wake Forest University.
An enormous “THANK YOU” goes out to all who made these
events so successful. We are very fortunate to live in an area that
is home to three of the top cancer research centers. Because of
your generous support our local researchers will be able to bring
their studies from the lab to the clinic.
