2022 Mid South think pink
On a beautiful, September day with sunny skies and mild temperatures, the 2nd Mid South "Think Pink" Women's Golf Tournament was held a Mid South Golf Club in Southern Pines. Women, men, local business owners, residents, and people from all over North Carolina (and beyond) joined together to raise money for the battle against breast cancer.
This year's fundraiser raised over $39,000, a 50% increase over funds raised in 2021.
This successful endeavor happened because of the tireless efforts of over 70 volunteers.
All proceeds were donated to the Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation (CHBCF), a non-profit
organization with the singular mission of supporting discovery-phase breast cancer research projects at
Duke University, the University of North Carolina, and Wake Forest University.
The Mid South volunteers have contributed to a record, $108,000 donation from the CHBCF to the three NC breast cancer research programs.
